Driveway Safety
Driveways and yards where vehicles may be moved are not safe environments for children. "Where are your kids brochure" can be downloaded here.
Each year children are run over and killed or injured in driveways. One strategy to address this issue in Gundagai is to increase awareness that children are at risk of motor vehicle injury in low speed off road environments including driveways and yards. Project activities include distribution of brochures to the general community, infants and primary schools, day care centres and preschools, and the running of a press and radio campaign.
