MobileMuster

Last modified: November 2, 2009 - 9:54 PM

Recycling your old mobile phone is now easier, with Gundagai Shire Council joining the nationwide MobileMuster programme.

We are calling on all local residents to clean out their drawers of all old and unwanted mobile phones and batteries, and bring them down to Gundagai Shire Council's Administration Office and drop them in the MobileMuster recycling bin.

To celebrate World Environment Day, MobileMuster will plant a native tree for every mobile phone collected between the 2nd of May and the 5th of June.  Last year the "Old phones, new trees" campaign together with Landcare Australia planted 75,000 trees.  This year MobileMuster aims to plant 100,000 native trees.
