Our Collection includes:

More Information on our Collection-

ADULT FICTION arranged alphabetically by author. New titles added regularly. You are welcome to suggest titles for purchase.

LARGE PRINT arranged alphabetically by author. Even if you don't need the larger print, it is quite relaxing to be able to see the words so easily, so if you nod off after a couple of pages in ordinary print, you may find larger print much easier to manage.

ROMANCE AND WESTERN still popular and much read, they are in a special section so you can access them easily. Look for the face out shelves in each bay, that is where the new arrivals and popular books are displayed.

CHILDREN'S SERVICES are organized in a special area at the rear of the library. Soft seating and small sized table and chairs easily moved to suit. For special Story Times, see Mirrabooka leaflets. If you would like to have a story time session in the library, please contact the librarian.

PICTURE BOOKS for young readers are in special shelving which allows small people to easily find their favourites. They are not arranged by author, but face out so the titles are easily seen.

JUNIOR FICTION soft cover on rotating stand, hard backs on low shelving, updated often, again request for purchase welcome.

YOUTH FICTION in its own area, soft cover, hard back and multi-media all together for easy browsing.

MULTI MEDIA COLLECTION libraries now hold collections of talking books, video, DVD's, music and computer CD's. Our range is designed to not compete with the local video store, but to offer material not widely available.

REFERENCE MATERIAL we hold a wide selection of non-fiction material, arranged by the Dewey decimal system. If you are looking for information, the latest cookery book, hobby material or travels tales, browse our well stocked shelves. Suggestions for purchase welcome.

REFERENCE NOT FOR LOAN looking for facts and figures? The internet has not yet quite replaced the reference books. You can spend productive time near our picture window searching for the elusive information contained in our collection.

INTER-LIBRARY LOANS if we don't hold the book you need, our membership of the Riverina Library Service makes it easy to borrow from the other twelve branches. If you can't collect the material in person, it will be sent on inter-branch loan when available. These loans are only for two weeks, so they are not out of their library home for too long.

RETURNS loans are for a four week period for books, one week for multi-media. You may have one extension for books by ringing the library when it is due. There is an after hours book chute outside the building which you can access by a  book barcode on your borrower card. Instructions are in the window above the chute. You may return books borrowed from other Riverina Libraries here as well, but try not to leave this until they are overdue, as this upsets the system.

LOCAL HISTORY AND GENEALOGY your library holds an ever growing collection of local and family history. There is a special room so that you can work quietly without distraction. If you hold any material that you would like to share, family trees or books written on the local area, we would be happy to accept them for the collection and take good care of them.

The library is often asked if donations are acceptable. We do accept material in good condition with the proviso that if we can' use it, it will be put into a book sale.
