Account Payments

Other Payment Methods

Accounts can be paid in person, by mail, by phone, direct deposit or by direct debit. 

In Person Accounts may be paid by attending Council's offices, located at 255 Sheridan Street, GUNDAGAI, by Cash, Cheque,Money Order or Eftpos (both credit and debit). Eftpos payments incur a fee of $2.50 per transaction.

By Phone Accounts may be paid by Credit Card over the phone by dialing 02 9770 3483. A $2.50 fee applies per transaction.

By Mail Cheques or Money Orders should be posted to Gundagai Shire Council, PO Box 34, GUNDAGAI NSW 2722 and made payable to Gundagai Shire Council.

Direct Deposit Payments can be made to Council's Bank account using your own Internet Banking facility. The Council Bank details are BSB: 082-625 A/C No: 519010117. A/C Name: Gundagai Shire Council General Account. You MUST use either your Assessment No. (Rates & Water) or your Account No. (Debtors). Without these reference numbers Council will be unable to process your payment.

Direct Debit - Bank Accounts You may nominate an amount and have it deducted from your bank account on a periodic basis, whether it be weekly, fortnightly, monthly or quarterly. Council recommends direct debit from your bank account as the cheapest and most efficient way of paying your Council rates and charges.

Direct Debit - Credit Card Accounts can now be paid by a direct debit to your valid credit card, either Visa or Mastercard. This is processed through NAB and also incurs a $2.50 fee per transaction.

A Direct Debit Request form including a Direct Debit Agreement can be downloaded from the link below. The form is required to be completed and returned to the Council either by mail, fax or email.
