Gundagai Sporting Ovals
Gundagai sporting ovals are located below Sheridan St, on the ideal flat lands of the Murrumbidgee River.
SPORTING OVALS
Anzac Park – So named because included in the grounds is Gundagai’s Anzac Grove and War Memorial. Situated off Landon St, Anzac Park holds Gundagai’s main football oval. There are toilet facilities, however unless a sporting event is in progress they remain locked.
Stan Crowe and Owen Vincent Ovals – Landon St, next to Anzac Park. These two ovals are venues for school athletic carnivals, soccer, hockey, softball, cricket, touch football as well as other forms of sport or sporting events.
Heydon Park – Landon St, next to Yarri Park. Heydon Park is Gundagai’s hockey field.
Gundagai Showground & Racecourse Complex – Off Middleton Drive, at the end of O I Bell Drive. The showground and racecourse complex is located on Gundagai’s flatlands bordered by the Murrumbidgee River. This well equipped complex holds and caters for:
- Horse Racing
- Horse training facilities
- Annual Agriculture Show
- Dog trials
- Equestrian events throughout the year including camp drafts, rodeo, Giddyup, show jumping events, pony club. The complex has been utilized by major organizations and just recently held the NSW Short Course titles.
