Gundagai Shire is located approximately half way between Sydney and Melbourne along Australia's busiest highway, the Hume.

Gazetted in 1923 from an amalgamation of the Adjungbilly Shire and Gundagai Municipality, the Gundagai Shire is proud of its rich heritage and is home to legends such as the Dog on the Tuckerbox, Dad and Dave and the awe inspiring Rusconi's Masterpiece in Marble.

Council hopes that ratepayers, residents and other interested parties will find this website useful in accessing publicly available Council information and as a simple means of contacting Council or paying their Council rates and charges.
